Inspiration

My work has been influenced by many artists over time, and my artistic worldview is constantly evolving. Here is a list of my all-time favorite visual artists.
Ansel Adams
Adams was an American photographer and environmentalist in the twentieth century. He is best known for his black-and-white photographs of the American West, notably in Yosemite National Park. One of his most famous photographs was Moon and Half Dome, Yosemite National Park, California.
Mary Cassatt
Cassatt was an American painter and printmaker of the mid-nineteenth century. She is a real role model for me because of her focus on the social and private lives of women and the bond between mothers and their children. She spent much of her adult life among the French impressionists.
Jackson Pollock
Paul Jackson Pollock was a major figure in the abstract expressionist movement. His work is brilliant, but in his private life he was a recluse who struggled with alcoholism, a condition that got him killed in a car accident at the age of 44. His work has been the subject of several retrospectives, including in the 2000 movie Pollock, directed by and starring Ed Harris.
